Okay, you know what? This post never made it to my email for some reason, but I listened to it just now. Fist of all, a lot of Music Club artists in the mix. Black Keys (nice), Fiona (that's a hard song to do and not fail horribly compared to Holly), McCartney (hated it), Cee-Lo (Liked it. Thought it was an Elvis song.), Casablancas (nice try, but not so good), JTE (fine), Patti (liked it), Cobras (I bet live it's great as long as you don't look directly at the singer),Lou Reed (Umm, I don't know), John Doe (very nice). That's a good bunch of people. I think Buddy Holly is kind of hard for post-post-modern people to cover. We're all soooo cynical.
