Next Theme & Date

We got sidetracked and never settled on the next theme or date. What about a theme relating to the solstice and we meet on June 22nd?

  1. I got even more sidetracked and never responded to this post. I believe I can do the 22nd of June. I will let you know for sure later today.

I got nothing for the solstice, but I accept your challenge.

  3. But seriously folks... as I'm unable to make it next week, any chance of pushing out to a later date by a week or two? The theme could even shift to Freedeom since we'd be more 4th adjacent vs solstice?!

  4. We actually didn't settle on a date. Does the 29th work for everyone? Theme? Whatever you all wish.

  5. I'm less fussed on theme and more concerned with not being with you all! The 29th could work for me :-)

  6. 29th works for me. Solstice was so specific as to be stifling. My choices were wandering in the summery, 4th of July-ish, short shorts, and California Dreaming realm so maybe let us just do Summer music. What do you say?

Also, Carol sends a not so random "I Love You All" to all y'all.

  8. Griffith Observatory and then take the Charlie Turner trail for amazing views (the trail head is right there). The Getty Villa, the Venice canals are nice to stroll around,

  10. Hi MC Friends! Summer is just a day away and summer songs is the theme for our next club, which will be next Thursday the 29th, hopefully everyone can make it.
There will be music, food, laughs, and a fire in the fire pit to roast smores.
Can't wait to see you all.
Jim- I hope you and carol had a good trip to LA!!

  11. Excited to see you all next week. I have chosen no songs, yet.

LA was great. Short, but great. I saw the best museum show of one of my favorite artists, Kerry James Marshall. I knew it was only going to be there a couple more weeks so I was eager to get down there and see it. I was just so happy. At one point I got a little teary when I realized how big the show was and just how many paintings I was going to see.

Walked around Griffith Park and Santa Monica and Venice. Had a martini at Musso & Frank’s. Got to see my uncle and aunt who live there who I always enjoy. Went to the Broad, as well. Good good time.

  12. I gotta say, the Music Club GoogleDoc is my favorite GoogleDoc. I was just seeing if a songs had been used before. It hadn’t.

Marcy? Did I just break our GoogleDoc? I can’t see the Artist Popularity screen all of the sudden. Oh shit. I broke it, didn’t I? You can fix it, right? Please say you can fix it.
