You get 3 songs.

  1. If you're not Marcy, then I demand you get off her computer this minute. You made a fatal flaw my friend. You're using her identity to make posts on this blog, but we now have three songs off your ipod. It will be easy enough to track you from those. You are in a world of annoyance once we determine who you are.

    1. I got two of those songs from Music Club. I believe they were from Greg.

    2. I thought Greg, too! Actually, I thought you, Pat, and then couldn't decide between the two of you.

But maybe you're playing mind games...

    3. See, MY FAVORITE NAME came from me into the Music Club, but I don't think it's me.

    1. See Marcy, I did it, too. You are completely normal.
      Or at least believably dumb.

    White Tooth Man/Iron & Wine
    Bend & Break/Keane*

*I cheated and skipped a really obvious song. I'll tell you later if you guess right.

    1. I think Marcy because of her love of Chopin.

    2. Why would he write a Nocturne in E-Flat? That makes no sense.

    1. How'd you know??

The song I skipped was Rose Darling/Steely Dan. Because of course.

    2. It was Keane.
But THAT Chopin Nocturne is my favorite piece to play in the whole fucking world. When I was a kid, my mom would play it and I would get all goose-bumpy. I kept asking my piano teacher when I could play Chopin and he would say I wasn't ready. I kept praciticing and asking and practicing and asking and one day "I WAS READY" and I mastered that tune.

    3. It's super pretty. Well done!

I have it because it's on the soundtrack album to 'Waking Life'. I didn't want you guys thinking I'm some toffee-nosed wanker prancing around putting classical music on my iPod.

  6. I can never do these. I've telegraphed too much.

Relates to a problem I'm coming up against when it comes to the Desert Island Disc theme -- turns out I've already done songs from the ones that come to mind, so now I'm down to like my 7th or 8th Desert Disc just to find one I haven't already submitted something off of.

    1. Yeah, I'll be on 4 - 10 myself. I blew my Tina Turner wad already! Wait, that sounds really wrong.

    2. I'm thinking it's a flaw in the process. Our Desert Disc should be the REAL desert disc selection even if they have been submitted, right? It doesn't make sense to fudge it, right?

      I dunno.

    3. They talked to a guy on Sound Opinions who spent 7 months on a Galapagos island with 20 CDs. He suggested an actual Desert Island disc should not be something you really love, but something you are still trying to figure out. That way when you get sick of it you won't end up hating a song you always thought of as a favorite.

I personally still have favorites that I haven't played simply because they didn't fit into the theme better than other songs that weren't a favorite.

How many songs are in a Tina Turner wad?

    4. I like that rationale.

I think I have multiple Tina Turner wads. (My deepest apologizes to Ms. Turner.)

  9. Are you guys still there? Did Pat remove you both or did Marcy? Or is there an author/administrator out there randomly removing people?

  10. I deleted Pat and then felt guilty and deleted myself. Pat, forgive me!

    1. I like that. Do unto other and then do unto yourself in a fit of guilt. Admirable.
