Yeah, you know, that's kind of what I thought. So many directions, you can go your own way. All loosey-goosey rules. No real restrictions. Just like summer used to be. Before work was created. I might go all 70s music. That's when summer meant something. Grade School and Junior High. When summer rolled around it was just riding bikes, hanging out, going to birthday parties, going to picnics. I suspect my choices will be nostalgic. Maybe melancholy.
So any way.... It's Thursday right? I want to bring something. Where are we doing it? Is there a thing or something I can bring? I still don't know what summer means, but... Hi everybody.
Right, I'm doing so well at choosing the summery songs. I'm sure I'll be equally adept at choosing the summery food. I'll see what I can do. At Marcy's, assume. I should totally call in sick tomorrow, too.
No No No I want to do it myself. In college, someone would be working on a painting or a sculpture or something, and they would talk to someone else about it and that someone else would come up with a really good idea and the first someone wouldn't use it because it was someone else's idea. At least, that's how it worked when I was the first someone.
If I was the someone else then the first someone would totally take my idea amazing and idea and have unimaginable success with it.
As a result they are much happier than i am right now. They know exactly what summer song is best.
The song came out in the summer?
ReplyDeleteThe lyrics reference the summer?
The song makes you sweaty?
Many ways to go here.
I think I'm going to avoid the sweaty part. Unless it's really hot.
